About Silk Veils
I am very happy to be creating and offering color-infused, ornamented, OOAK (one-of-a-kind) silk veils for meditation, contemplation, ceremony, and dance. The fall/winter collection includes 15 veils. Most are 4 yards but there are a couple of 3 yards and a couple of 3 1/2 yard veils. Most are 45″ wide. A couple are 55″ wide. All are 5mm, lightweight china silk, dye-infused with oil ornamentation done with wooden printing blocks (tjaps). In most cases the print work is finishing, a punctuation but once in a while it is counterpoint, like a tattoo, and in a few instances it integrally balances strident color patches.

SIlk Veils

Breathing and releasing into the color process, I enter a peaceful Sufi state. The evanescent beauty of the silk glows and whispers, and the veil emerges. Each one comes from meditation, leads to meditation, and will support meditation, whether moving or still. I know you will enjoy these magical, unique creatures. (Come into my studio.)
